We ARE NLPOA-IE
Empowering Communities, Mentoring Youth, Building Futures
Building Stronger Communities Together
Founded in 1972 by Sacramento Sheriff Deputy John Parraz and CHP Captain Vicente Calderon, the National Latino Peace Officers Association (NLPOA) has grown into a national organization with chapters across the United States. The Inland Empire Chapter, established in 2012, is proud to continue this legacy as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization, dedicated to fostering trust, mentoring youth, and building lasting connections within our diverse communities.
We welcome everyone—Latino or not—who shares our passion for community service and youth empowerment. Membership is open to all, including those outside the Inland Empire as 'members at large.' Join us to help young people achieve their dreams, strengthen bonds between law enforcement and the communities we serve, and ensure that our police forces reflect the diversity of our nation.
Whether you become a member, corporate sponsor, or both, your involvement with NLPOA is an investment in our shared future. Together, we can create meaningful change, inspire leadership, and build a brighter tomorrow for the Inland Empire and beyond. For more information or to join, visit our membership page.
